Zach Gage, seorang programmer mengatakan bahwa projek gamenya bernama Lose/Lose bukanlah sebuah program berbahaya yang merusak sistem komputer, tetapi desain gameplay game tersebut memang sengaja dibuat berbahaya. Lose/Lose adalah sebuah game tipikal "Space Invader" dengan grafik ala jaman 8-bit dahulu, yang membuat game ini berbahaya adalah karena setiap kali gamer membunuh alien-alien yang muncul di layar, game tersebut akan menghapus file-file dalam sistem komputer secara random. Beberapa antivirus seperti Symantec bahkan menganggap game ini sebagai trojan virus. Zach Gage menjelaskan bahwa alasan dia membuat game berbahaya seperti ini adalah untuk memberikan konsep dunia virtual yang memberikan konsekuensi di dalam dunia realitas. Dalam situs resminya Lose/Lose terdapat kalimat:
"KILLING ALIENS IN LOSE/LOSE WILL DELETE FILES ON YOUR HARDDRIVE PERMANANTLY"
sebagai tanda peringatan bagi gamer yang berani mencoba game ini. Terus terang game ini langsung mengundang kontroversi, dimana banyak orang mengatakan bahwa Zach Gage adalah seorang pembuat virus yang secara terang-terangan mengakui perbuatannya, dan malah menyuruh orang lain "bermain" dengan virusnya
